God's Chosen Agent?

One of our Pierce County brothers has observed that when God reveals a vision for a ministry, we immediately assume we're the chosen agent to fulfill that vision. It may be that we are called to an intercessory role in seeing the vision accomplished but not to a "hands on" role.

Having once had my health completely break down under the ministry pace, I continue to feel a burden for my fellow pastors who feel compelled to keep a high-stress pace in the ministry. Last Friday, I met a semi-retired pastor and asked him what advice he would offer to young people just starting out in ministry. He replied, "Number one is 'keep your priorities in order.' Your family must come first. God has gotten along without your help thus far..."
